Executive Leadership

There are nine Executive Officers within New Queens Democrats.  Officers are elected every year for one (1) year terms, commencing in January.  For the year 2016, Executive Officers will be elected within thirty (30) days of approval of the Constitution and By-Laws of New Queens Democrats.  Vacancies throughout the year are handled by the Executive Board at the Executive Board Meeting immediately following the announcement of vacancy.  Nominations for such positions shall be solicited from the General Membership and/or "The Elders," non-NQD members that are experienced grassroots organizers deemed as knowledgable and a good tell of character.  Executive Officers can hold only one position per any given year.  Each Executive Officer is to attend the Executive Board Meeting every two months and may not miss more than three (3) meetings in the calendar year without legitimate excuse, otherwise will be considered as having resigned from that position.   Many Executive Board Officers run independent Committees, which are open to the General Membership.  Officers may be elected in each Committee.
